Some more tunes hot off the Web to get you all beautiful people into the weekend mindset. Enjoy yourselves out there, folks.
When I first learned Dillon Francis and NGHTMRE were producing a track together, I was understandably stoked; Dillon puts on one of the best shows at any fest I’ve attended and NGHTMRE’s “Street” was my jam the second I heard it.
Unfortunately, when the original version of “Need Someone” dropped, I was a bit disappointed by what I considered a farely by-the-numbers single, if only because of my massive expectations.
But upon hearing the Champagne Drip Remix, I rescind all complaints. It does everything I hoped for from the original.
What do you prefer?
Powerful, undestated vocals set the mood. Then, just when a short-lived sax riff makes you think we’re staying in this territory, they bring in a jittery electronic melody and frantic riff. Eventually, we find our way to the familiar beatkit to build up the hype.
I dig it. I think you will, too.
